Our mission is to rescue and preserve a piece of Tucson's history from the threat of demolition, to honor and preserve its rich heritage, and to transform it into a space for creativity, connection, and celebration.
Our vision is a restored home for art shows, music recitals, literary programs, small neighborhood meetings, and even outdoor events in restored gardens.
A bold young woman named Anna Lester homesteaded the area, and built this house. She eventually built several other houses because she wanted to encourage the development of the area into a family neighborhood, and hoped that young people with children would move into the neighborhood. Thus, the city began to expand northward.
